Program Description

the biostatistics concentration under the public health mph program prepares students to use statistical techniques in scientific studies to identify the causes of diseases and injuries, evaluate public health programs, and design mathematical models that describe the progression of diseases in populations. students gain foundational public health knowledge and skills to address current and emerging public health issues across the globe from expert faculty at new york’s premier, research-intensive university dedicated to academic excellence and making a positive impact on the world.

  • Students must pay the SOPHAS fee in addition to the $50 UB application fee.
  • Effective immediately, the Biostatistics MPH program will not be requiring the submission of GRE scores as part of the admissions process. However, prospective students are encouraged to consider submitting their GRE scores if they think it will strengthen their application. 

This program is officially registered with the New York State Education Department (SED).
