My current school is closed and I can't request an official transcript. How can I submit my grades for review?

UB accepts unofficial copies for initial review

we do not need to receive official transcripts, marksheets, or score reports in order to make an admissions decision. you can submit a picture of an unofficial transcript you may have received from your school or upload a screenshot from your online student portal.

make sure any academic documents you submit include your full name, the course/exam names and results, as well as the date or term completed.

TOEFL and IELTS testing centers in my area are closed. How can I prove my English proficiency?

TOEFL is now offering the iBT Special Home Edition

To help you complete your application, UB is now accepting the , a convenient and affordable English proficiency test that can be taken online, on demand, anywhere in the world.

The test requires an internet connection and a computer with a front-facing camera and microphone. The registration fee is $49, and you can get started by visiting

All SAT/ACT requirements are WAIVED

because many testing centers are closed due to covid-19, submission of sat/act scores is optional for all applicants.

Should I pay my tuition deposit?

The tuition deposit deadline has been extended to June 1st

If you received a scholarship offer you are still required to deposit by May 12020欧洲杯体育直播投注 in order to keep your award.

Will I be able to apply for a U.S. Visa?

All visa issuance questions should be directed to your local U.S. Consulate office

My high school is closed and I don't know if I will earn my diploma. What should I do?

What should I do if I need immigration advice/an I-20 signature/OPT processing?

I need to submit my documents to your office to finalize my admission. What should I do?

If you are on campus, you can drop-off documents to 115 Capen

  • If you are on campus, make photocopies of all of your required documents
  • Write your name and UB Person Number on each page you are submitting
  • It is prefered that you put all documents into a single envelope
  • Bring the documents to the Office of Internatioanl Admissions, 115 Capen, First Floor 
  • Slide the envelope under the door
  • Allow 7-10 days for review
