2020欧洲杯体育直播投注after discussing your needs with the appropriate facility manager, they’ll schedule you for an initial orientation / training session to acquaint you with laboratory access, protocols, and reservation processes – and train you on the equipment specified. they’ll also acquaint you with equipment standard operating procedures and documents provided for laboratory tools and equipment.
This Orientation / Training Session carries a one-time fee for each first-time user, and it includes any future training that may be required on any equipment within our facilities. See our rates page for additional information.
also, before using our laboratories or equipment, you'll need to complete laboratory safety training* with ub’s department of environment, health and safety (eh&s) – see below – or produce certification of having completed required laboratory safety training within the previous 12 months. eh&s offers training on a regular schedule, approximately every three weeks. if your project deadline dictates, you may wish to schedule your eh&s training prior to your orientation / training session. if this is the case, please be sure to bring your eh&s certification card with you to your orientation training session.
users of university at buffalo laboratories are required to have completed laboratory safety training, preferably with ub’s environment, health and safety department, or to produce certification of completion of training during the 12-month period previous to working in university laboratories. training must meet requirements of 40 cfr 262 (rcra hazardous waste) and 29 cfr (osha right to know). in the case of the latter, certification will be reviewed by eh&s to ensure that it meets all necessary requirements. laboratory users must be recertified and renew their training card at least once every 12 months.
* laboratory safety traning is not required for users of the motion simulation laboratory
